Blair Athol Mine

Blair Athol Mine is an open cut mine with just over 200 employees.

Coal is transported by 170 tonne capacity rear dump trucks to the primary crusher station, where it is reduced in size. A conveyor then takes the coal to the secondary and tertiary screening and crushing stations, where it is progressively reduced to the size required by customers.

The resulting coal product is then conveyed to stockpiles, or is fed directly to the train loading bin. Trains take up to 9500 tonnes of coal to the Dalrymple Bay Coal terminal for the international export market.
