About our report

This 'sustainable development' section of our website talks about Rio Tinto Coal Australia's approach to sustainable development and details our performance during 2011 across our Queensland and New South Wales operations.

We structure our sustainable development reporting on our business strategy which features the following key areas of health, safety and environment, people, communities and government, growth and innovation, customers and markets and operations and financial performance.

Using the left hand navigation menu, you can read about our sustainable development performance, challenges and successes experienced during the year, and detailed reports for each of our operations - Mount Thorley Warkworth, Hunter Valley Operations and Bengalla in New South Wales; and Blair Athol, Clermont, Kestrel and Hail Creek mines in Queensland.
